The Ersatzfeldwagen 40 (Erfa. 40) – replacement field wagon type 40 – was introduced after the experiences of the first campaigns. Widely, it corresponded to the wagons usually used in many rural areas. Compared to the military field wagons, it was significantly simpler constructed.
