The leichte Feldhaubitzprotze 18 – light field howitzer limber 18 – was used for horse drawing of the 10.5 cm leichte Feldhaubitze 18. The 10.5 cm leichte Feldhaubitze 18 was developed at the end of the 1920s and was officially introduced with A.H.M. 1935, Blatt 18 from 3rd August 1935.

The leichte Feldhaubitzprotze 18 had fife to six seats for the gun crew and storage compartments for a part of the equipment. It was also used in combination with the 10.5 cm leichte Feldhaubitze 18/39.
