M3 Scout Car WH-04818-1, Afrika, Georgens via Hoppe

The M3 Scout Car was developed by the White Motor Company beginning in 1938. Serial production of the improved model M3 A1 Scout Car started in 1941. Until 1944, nearly 21,000 exemplars were made. The 110 HP six-cylinder petrol engine could accelerate the 5.7 metric ton heavy vehicle to a top speed of 88 km/h. Besides the USA, these vehicles were also used by Great Britain and the Soviet Union. Captured vehicles used by the Wehrmacht were rare.
