Compared to the M3, the M2 had a shorter armoured superstructure. Therefore, the mud flaps bulked out to the rear. The rear end of the superstructure was in one line with the mud flaps in the case of the M3. This M2 was used by schweren Panzer-Abteilung 501 in Tunisia.
