Nash Motors was founded by Charles W. Nash in 1916. Nash became famous for the production of high quality middle class cars. The 1925 introduced starter brand Ajax was not successful and was discontinued one year later. In 1924, Nash had bought the LaFayette Motors Corporation. This brand name was reintroduced in 1934 as starter brand. But LaFayette was discontinued as independent brand name for the model year 1937.
