VOLVO

In 1915, the Swedish ball bearing manufacturer SKF founded a branch for the development of testing motor vehicles to test the new roller bearings. In 1927, this branch was established as independent motor vehicle manufacturer with the brand name Volvo. Until 1935, SKF held stocks of Volvo. At the beginning, cars were manufactured. A short time later, lorries and busses were offered, too.
