GAZ-M1

Altogether 62,888 exemplars of the GAZ-M1 were manufactured from 1935 to 1943 but only a few exemplars were made from summer 1941 to 1943. Technically, it was based on the American Ford V8-40 of the year of construction 1933. The unit sign on the door is that of 3. Panzer Division. On the mudguard one can see the G of Panzergruppe 2 (Guderian).

Despite the large number of produced vehicle, photos of captured vehicles are rare. Probably most of them were too heavy damaged during combat. This captured GAZ-M1 was used by 262. Infanterie Division.
