The GAZ 61-73 was the all-wheel driven variant of the GAZ 11-73. The high chassis is clearly visible in this photo. Only 181 exemplars were made in 1941. This type was used as commander’s vehicle for highest commanders. It is astonishing that such a vehicle in such a good condition could be captured and used by the Wehrmacht. The barely visible marking could be the divisional sign of 25. Infanterie Division (mot).
