The Lancia 3 RO was the standard 4.5 ton lorry of the Italian armed forces. It was manufactured beginning in 1933 and served very well. After the Italian capitulation, 722 further exemplars were manufactured for the Wehrmacht.
The vehicles made for the Wehrmacht had a simplified Holzfahrerhaus, a driver’s cab made mainly of wood. This Lancia 3 RO was used by Jagdgeschwader 53.
