Crossley Motors was founded in Manchester in 1906. Cars, buses and lorries were made. 19,000 cars were made from 1904 until 1938 and 21,000 goods and military vehicles from 1914 to 1945. Several models were made for the British Army. Famous types were the IGL-series and the FWD-series.
