In the year 1886, Max Frankenburger and Max Ottenstein founded the company Frankenburger und Ottenstein Nürnberg for the production of high wheelers. In 1895 the company was renamed to Victoria Fahrradwerke AG, vormals Frankenburger und Ottenstein. Starting in 1899, it was operated under the name Victoria Werke AG. Commencing in 1901, also motorcycles were manufactured. After World War I, the production of motorcycles was restarted. With the beginning of World War II, nearly the whole production of motorcycles was stopped, only the model Victoria KR 35 WH Pionier was manufactured until 1944. In addition, other items of armaments were manufactured.
