According to different K.St.N., the m. Lkw., off. (o) was used as field kitchen wagon. Depending on the size of the unit, a kleiner - small - or a großer - large - Feldkochherd - field range - with its accessories was built up on the platform.

Because the weather protection with the tarpaulin was insufficient, the crew of the illustrated vehicle built a small closed compartment made of wood on the forward part of the platform.

Depending on the craftmanship of the unit, sometimes elaborate closed superstructures for the field kitchen wagons were created. They were better suitable for the purpose.
