The MAN type D 1 had a payload of 4 tons. The engine bonnet was higher constructed than on the MAN Z 1, but it was clearly shorter than on the types F 1 H 6 / F 2 H 6.
The MAN lorries of thetype D 1 with the open standard driver’s cab of the Wehrmacht were extremely rare.
Special superstructures were made according to customer wish. This MAN type D 1 had a special box body and was used as furniture lorry.
