In 1934, the Hansa Lloyd Columbus was redesigned to a more modern look. Initially, it was propelled by a 31 HP petrol engine. In 1936, the power was increased to 36 HP.
Also in 1936, the payload was increased from 1 to 1.25 tons. A good distinguishing mark to the similar Hansa-Lloyd Express are the rims.
