The Funkkraftwagen - radio motor-vehicle - (Kfz. 17) was identifiable by the Dachantenne - roof antenna - and the extendable radio mast on the rear. The illustrated photo was taken at Fedorovka near Taganrogon in April 1943.

The roof antenna was a bit higher and foldable on later exemplars. The illustrated vehicle belonged to a signals unit of the Wehrmacht and was photographed in Italy.
