Sadly, no clearly identified photo could be found of the kleiner Instandsetzungskraftwagen – small maintenance motor vehicle – (Kfz. 2/40) based on the le. gl. Pkw. The Kfz. 2/40 had a foldable workbench in the rear equipment box. The spare wheel was placed below the workbench. A welding torch together with its hose was placed in the equipment box inside of the vehicle. Additional jerry cans were stored on the rear equipment box. The Kfz. 2/40 was officially introduced with the Kft. Anhang Nr. 16 to the A.H.M. 1940, Blatt 7 from 21st March 1940. (Image from D 600)
