The Demag D II 3 was made in 1936. It already had the final number of road wheels like the later serial model. The overal design with the radiator grille, the driver’s and the crew compartments corresponded widely to the later models, too. According to a British report, 38 vehicles were made. More realistic are three to five vehicles. One vehicle was used to develop the prototype of the Sd. Kfz. 10/2, another one for the Sd. Kfz. 10/4.
