Altogether 60 exemplars of the Demag D 6 0-Serie - pilot series - were manufactured in 1938. This series was used for the development of several special superstructures.
Among these were the first testing vehicles of the later Sd. Kfz. 253 and, illustrated in the photo, Sd. Kfz. 252.
