The conclusion model DB 10 was introduced in October 1939. The frontal spoke wheels were replaced by steel disc wheels. The design of the running wheels was changed, too. The inner running wheels now had stiffening crimps. The hub caps of the driving wheels with the Mercedes star were dropped. All in all, the front section was now designed more rounded.

The form of the access steps between the mudguards was changed, too. The rear superstructure was simplified. The torsion bar suspension of the running gear introduced with this type increased the cross-country mobility.
