The Funkkraftwagen a und b (Kfz. 72) mit Fahrgestell des m. gl. Lkw. (o) – radio motor vehicle a and b (Kfz. 72) with chassis of the medium cross-country lorry (commercial) – had a crew of four. The extendable radio mast was a retrofit. As standard, the Funkkraftwagen (Kfz. 72) had not such a radio mast. A disadvantage to the competition models was the comparatively longer wheelbase between the first and second axle. This could be a reason why the LG 3000 was mainly used by the Luftwaffe.
