Adler V 40 T

The mittlere geländegängige Personenkraftwagen - medium cross-country passenger car - Adler Type V 40 T was developed by order of the Luftwaffe. It could be transported by plane and had a closed cooling system which enabeled the operation in hot and cold climates. The special wheel suspension enabeled an optimal cross-country mobility. At a deadweight of 1,850 kg it had a load capacity of 1,150 kg. It was propelled by an Adler 2.5 litres six-cylinder engine with an output of 55 HP. Despite successful tests of the prototype only a pre-series of further six vehicles was manufactured. Allegedly these vehicles wer sent to North-Africa where only a part of them arrived.
