Adler Type 12 N-RW Kübelwagen

The Adler type 12 N-RW was manufactured from 1932 to 1934. Only 199 exemplars were made. It was propelled by a six-cylinder, 50 HP engine.

Obviously, the rims on this Adler type 12 N-RW were fitted the wrong way round. The sense of this modification is mysterious cause it broadens the track width, which can cause collisions of the tyres with the mudguards during cross-country drive.

The first tests with the Gefechtskraftwagen (Kfz. 18) as supply vehicle of the motorcycle rifleman companies were made based on the Adler type 12 N-RW chassis. Until the outbreak of World War II, most of the motorcycle rifleman units were equipped with such vehicles.
