About 360 Lorraine 28 were made from 1937 to 1939. It was propelled by a 55 HP, 4.7 litres four-cylinder engine. The largest part of the vehicles was used as personnel carrier for a crew of ten.
Only about 30 exemplars of the illustrated radio version Lorraine 28 PU were made. Besides these, there was also a version of the Lorrain 28 with lengthened wheelbase and a tank superstructure with a capacity of 2,000 litres.
