Altogether 325 exemplars of the Tatra 82 cross-country lorry were produced from 1935 to 1938. The four-cylinder, 2.5 litres boxer engine had a power of 55 HP. Due to the air cooling, the engine bonnet could be designed sloping to the front. This improved the sight of the driver.

Besides the lorry, which had a payload of two tons, box-type lorries and passenger cars were made, too. The passenger cars had single tyre arrangement on all three axles.
