In 1941, two testing vehicles of the Panzer-Selbstfahrlafette II - armoured self propelled gun II - were manufactured by Rheinmetall-Borsig. The two vehicles were sent to North Africa in January and February 1942. Both vehicles were lost in the year 1942. (Photo: NARA)
