Umfüllpumpenwagen (Kfz. 72)

The Umfüllpumpenwagen - transfer pump wagon - was based on the chassis of the m. gl. Lkw. (o), Henschel type 33 D 1. It was developed around 1935 for the initial equipment of the Luftwaffe. Presumably, it was also designated as Kfz. 72.

The vehicle was used for the oxygen supply of aircrafts. For this purpose, a pumping device and twelve bottles with oxygene were available. This until now unidentified vehicle is most probably such an Umfüllpumpenwagen. Besides the vehicle, several bottles with oxygene are visible.
