|
The LC-Koffer developed by the Luftwaffe was also designated geschlossener Einheitsaufbau - closed standard superstructure - (Kfz. 305). The list of the variations reached from the Fernschreibanschlusskraftwagen (KW) (Kfz. 305/1) to the Werkstattkraftwagen für Flugzeugschlosser, Rüstschlosser (TMZ) (Kfz. 305/137).

The LC-Koffer could be built up on most of the three-ton lorries. It was constructed in that way, that it could be adapted to most usages without larger effort. In the usage for signals units, it had always the normal high roof.

In this usage, there was most often an additional box on top of the driver’s cab for accessories and jerry cans. The LC-Koffer was rarely based on all-wheel driven chassis.
