All m. gl. Pkw. with closed superstructure were designated as Kfz. 17. The Fernsprech- Betriebskraftwagen - telephone operating motor-vehicle - (Kfz. 17) was identifiable by the mountings for additional equipment on the rear and the roof.

This Fernsprech-Betriebskraftwagen (Kfz. 17) got off the road on slippery ground. A Selbstfahrlafette (Sd. Kfz. 10/4) (not visible) tried to refloat the heavy car. It had an engagements weight of not less than 3,680 kg! In the meantime, the unit sign was identified as that of the Panzer-Korps-Nachrichten-Abteilung 456.
