The Borgward 3-Tonner, which was designated Typ 3t Benzin G.W. by the Wehrmacht, was propelled by a 65 HP engine. It was manufactured from 1938 to 1941. The vehicle in the photo had the open standard driver’s cab (Einheitsführerhaus) of the Wehrmacht.

This Borgward 3-Tonner resp. Typ 3t Benzin G.W. had the production-line driver's cab made of sheet steel. Can somebody identify the unit sign?

The illustrated box body design based on the chassis of the m. Lkw. (o) Borgward Type 3t Benzin/Diesel G.W. was delivered by Borgward starting in 1940/41. In many of the known photos, an Anhänger (1 achs.) für Sammlerladegerät D (Sd. Ah. 23) is towed by these vehicles. Therefore, it is most probably a later variant of the Sammlerkraftwagen (Kfz. 42). The usage as Nachrichtenwerkstattkraftwagen (Kfz. 42) is thinkable, too.
