Because of the bad experiences made with the electrical motor sof the leichter Ladungsträgers (E-Motor) (Sd. Kfz. 302), its serial production was stopped. As replacement, the leichter Ladungsträger (V-Motor) (Sd. Kfz. 303) was developed, which was propelled by a Zündapp engine with a power of 7.5 HP. It could carry an explosive charge of 75 kg (Ausf. a) resp. 100 kg (Ausf. b). The track drive assembly was redesigned, too.
