The Krupp/Daimler KD-1 Geschützkraftwagen Kraftwagen 19  - which was armed with a 7.7 cm anti aircraft gun - was developed in 1918 based on the Krupp/Daimler KD-1 Artillerie- zugmaschine. This vehicle was highly estimated by the Reichswehr because it could be used as anti-tank and anti-aircraft weapon. In total 120 7.7 cm anti-aircraft guns were changed to 7.5 cm calibre from 1930 to 1932. 80 of these guns were used for Kw. 19 (Sd. Kfz. 1). Officially, only 28 of these vehicles could be listed! Still in D 601+ from 8th November 1935, this vehicle was listed as Geschützkraftwagen Kw. 19 Krupp/Daimler (Sd. Kfz. 1). According to the H.V.Bl. 1931, No. 27 from 14th September 1931, ser. No. 484, the vehicles should be equipped with solid rubber tyres after the older tyres were worn out.
