The Funkhorchkraftwagen a - radio interception motor vehicle a - (Kfz. 72), abbreviated Fu. Horchkw. a (Kfz. 72), was similar to the Fu. Kw. (Kfz. 72) but had a Kurbelmast - extendable radio mast - at the rearside of the box body. In addition, it had not the eight radio mast rods of the 10 m Steckmast which were present on the left side of the box body of the Fu. Kw. (Kfz. 72).
